Thinking of getting a pair of these

dude.

there are numerous subs that have the same basket as MTX.

its a genaric 16 spoke basket that mtx came up with, and has been in use ever since. basket means absolutly nothing.

I know. It's real common. manufacturers all over share a lot of designs.... I guess that's the point I was trying to make.

I will, you have 'splw' subs now and you can barely break the 145db mark with 2500wrms....maybe when the mail man stops by he will drop a CLUE off...

Not to mention imp rise...

Why dont you like RE?

These are the first subs from them I have used, and they perform great with a vfl on each //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I have heard alot of great things as well as bad. Ive heard more bad than good lately by competitors at events. Burnt coils, bottoming out, ripped surrounds/surrounds coming unglued. Good things ive heard are very efficient/high excursion/XBL^2, they can recone and personalize their woofers. At a recent competiton I attended I talked to a veteran SPL competitor and pointed me towards Toxik Audio. They can do everything RE can except I dont know if they use xbl^2 or have their own tech. I do like RE and may get the SX's im just trying to find out more info on Toxic Audio. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

there isn't a woofer in the world that doesn't break when abused in SPL competition...

and I'd bet alot of those failures are user error... it takes ALOT of work to bottom out most of the RE woofers, and to rip a surround in half... you're doing something really wrong*...

*unless your Scottie Johnson,, who always finds a new way to kill shit

btw, the RE, SE, SX, and MT lines do not use XBL^2... they are standard LGLC's

I haven't had my hands on a Toxik driver yet... but I'd be willing to bet ANYthing you threw in there would gain you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
