Thinking of getting a new receiver

I was curious if anything new or exciting is coming out soon. I have a 5.1 setup with the subs externally powered. Looking for something that does aprox 115x5.

I would like to stay in the $3-400 range.

I currently have a Polk Audio setup...

My current reciever doesn't get very loud and I just kinda want something different. It seems as if all the new recievers are all 7.1. I only want 5.1

What I am really looking for is a setup to do two floorstanders, a center channel, and a sub.

I don't really have the room for 5.1.

What about the idea of two MTMs (doesn't have to be floorstanding) on both sides of the TV.

A center channel

probably both.

But I can only afford to take baby steps.

I am curious as to what to replace first. The setup I currently have isn't very loud and doesn't sound very good. I wish I could get it to sound 1/2 as good as my truck. Not very dynamic.

why don't you get a nice 5.1 receiver first. You are going to want/need a new one anyway.
