Thinking of ditching the audio technix subs and................

Going with Skars vvx line or sundown sa's line. Im currently in a single cab f150 and I have a box builder that makes stuff fit no problem. Currently running two audio technix stratos and they are ok but looking for serious power. 1. skar vvx 10's 2 of them

2. sundown sa 10's 2 of them

3. skar vvx8's 4 of them

4. sundown sa8's 4 of them.

again yes I have the room.

My wife has two skar vvx8's in a altima

happy with skar product weather anyone else is or isnt. I personally have no problem or ran into problems so please dont tell me about skars business. I order mine from woofers etc and have recieved 2 Skars so far that were not b stock and the wife is happy so im happy

VERY similar subs... i have the sa-12's from Sundown and have heard sa-8's. the 8's get just as low as the 12's with no problem, given the enclosure is right of course. i think they're both fantastic so i don't see why the 10's wouldn't be the same...

haven't used VVX's but i've heard they sound almost identical to to the SA's. some say they hit lows better, however.

Yeah, maybe if the 12's are in .5 cu ft sealed box.

I run a single vvx 12 in my car, its it 2 cubes at 32hz, depends what your going for with your setup, yes the skar gets lower with no problem, but not as loud as an SA, i love how the skar murders the lows, i've been giving it about 800-850 rms been impressed with my skar, dont really care to the hate there is with skar on here since im happy with my setup //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

If you're going for spl, and have the electrical to back up 2k watts id throw the xfls in there and call it a day. Especially its almost the same price, or cheaper, than the sa or vvx.

How about skar ma 8's? I have a set of them in a ported box, 33hrtz, and they love the lows. Box is 1.5cf. Never had any issues with them.

what? the sa-8's get just as low as the sa-12's do. i listened to two sa-8's on 1,000 watts of MB Quart power & enclosure tuned to 33hz and they got just as loud and low as my sa-12's on the same amount of power (different amp). Actually, since the sa-8's were in a Mustang they rattled the hell out of the cabin, and sounded good while doing so.
