okay...

if i get some 5.25" contours, and just use the contour tweeter and keep my soundline mid woofer, will it have better results than just ditching the soundlines altogether, and use the entire contour set?

i have a space problem, so will the 5.25" midwoofer sound just as good as the 6.5" soundline woofer even though the soudlines are a step down?

im just throwin out ideas here.

awesome... how about the midrange?? will i get better response from the contour (5.25) or the soundline (6.5)?

My guess is that you'll see better midRANGE out of the 5.25" Contours..

wat about the midbass, will i miss out on any frequencies if i crossover at the same place?? its a smaller higher line compared with a bigger lower line...

you'll apreciate the larger driver in the lower midbass frequencies, but 5.25's are quite capable and can yield nice results- worse case scenario you can use either with the better passives no biggie

I would just say if you're going to mix components just make sure that whatever tweeter you're using that you use the passive crossover that the tweet came with seeing how in a 2 way set the hi-pass for the tweeter is the most important.

While I have never heard the 5.25in. Contours, I can tell you that my 4" Pro's ROCK !!!!

I just got done installing them in deadened Q-Forms in my truck. Currently crossed over at 150hz (I'm going to play with that), they sound SUPERB! I'm only sending them 100 watts rms and they don't seemed fatigued at all. Plus they are so smoooooooooooooooooooth.. Cranking them up only produces crystal clear music. Harshness is now a thing of the past! So long distortion, it was nice knowing ya'.. NOT!

What brand are those 4" Schuey2002? And are those like components. I am curentely looking for some nice 4" for my kickpanels and you describe like pro's are perfect.
