I was wondering if you could enter 2 areas. This will by my first time to compete and have never gone to a competition just think it might be fun for an old fart to try. I was thinking about interring Intro consumer and the Intermediate consumer. The only problem I have heard is if you enter the higher class you cannot go back. The reason I was thinking about entering the higher class was to get some professional feedback. I wish they had a DIY class.

Here is my build:

youll get killed
Even in the consumer intro class? Owell it all about learning something new everyday.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Kovemaster you do know that this is a SQ not SPL competition?

I really surprise that most of the entry's were from out of state. This being a regional event I guess more people travel. This was my first time and maybe that is normal for people to travel that much. The van from DB set a new world record for SP. I entered the Intro SQ and scored a 54/60 and took home third place trophy. I know that I got 1 point taken of for that my sound stage was 6 inches to low, time to re tune. Judge said that I had good width and center staging. I was glad to get some professional advice.

for Finals you can't get points in a higher class and enter a lower class. You can enter more than 1 to get total points, but your class points are the biggie. I think winning at a regional is an automatic invite to finals too.

Smooth..the one thing to make sure to do is to read through the USACI rules. That will help you prepare for larger classes. Was your judge a short bald guy?

Nope, his judge was ME.

Actually, the car was very well put together. He should do well with the car, but he should stay in that class. At least until this year is over. Also, The two other cars that he lost to, sounded wayyyy too good to be in the intro sq class. They are very well installed, and one of them, if memory serves me, was built by the same installer you have there SQChevy.
