only DISADVANTAGE i can think of right now is the fact that i have astigmatism, so contacts for me will be a little bit more expensive.
I HOPE you have vision insurance. The good news is the price keeps coming down. Every time I renew my perscription I get twice as many for half as much. When you go in, GET your perscription...you can then call 1800contacts, get glasses for emergencies, etc.

its 1100 for 10mins sitting there. outpatient, and no glasses/contacts needed. thats what im going to school for.
ever talk about the 'dark side' of lasik? I was steered away from LASIK by my eye doctor, a partner in a LASIK clinic, to wait for a less possibly catastrophic way to correct vision. My perscription would have taken away quite a bit of lens thickness and the long-term results aren't in yet on car accidents(air-bags), and injuries resulting in blindness that wouldn't have if LASIK hadn't been done. I agreed to wait. My eye doctor wears glasses...I'd like to know the percentage of eye doctors that have had LASIK done...hmm.

go with contacts for sure. i have been wearing them for 8 or 9 years now. i just switched from the acuvue 2 lens to the acuvue oasis lens. the oasis is by far the best lens i have ever had. my eyes dont get stressed from lack of oxygen and they are so comfortable. i just forget about them during the day. dont even notice them. i have tried a bunch of lenses and these work the best for me, as well as every other person that has tried them. go to your eye doctor and get a trial pair. haha, good luck getting used to putting them in and taking them out.

i got a ****ed up left eye...its shaped like an egg //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif gotta wear the tork accuvues on that one...I love my contacts you dont even notice them and whenever I want to go back to being blind i have the option(see no reason to do this but it sounded good versus lasik)
