thinking about getting an 02' Explorer

i wonder how different the back end is? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif let me look for some pics of different ones

what do you get on gas mileage for the v6 model?

everything worked right for you, not too many things go wrong with it?

how wide is it between the wheel wells or what ever they are in the back, and estimate on how high the back seats go up

i assume they use 5x7 speakers or what?

any comments you have on them

i wantsa do a box for 4 15s trying to figure out the spaceand how much room for extra batts/amps and what not
My moms 02 gets 16-18mpg in the city and 20-24 on the highway...but she also drives like a mom.

it is 45" beetween the wheel wells, 40" from the back of the seats to the gasket in front of the back gate and the seats are roughly 17" tall.

Havent looked at the speakers, its my moms...but I would assume they do use 5X7's.

Awesome truck with tons of space and we have had no problems with it at all.

Explorers > Blazers.

I went out and measured it just before I posted that. I am 100% sure. and if hers wasnt loaded with shit for work I would take pics. but hers looks exactly like the one you posted but with the brown interior.

just making sure but if meade can fit 4 18s and 4 PC2150 batts in his tahoe, i should atleast be able to get 4 15s in an explorer, im not worried about the window line as i passed it in my blazer a while ago, but i dont want to go way up into the rearview

im getting 16-17cubes gross for a box, not sure how much the port will take up or how much each speaker/bracing will take up

There are a couple of the compartments in the back as well that you could put your batteries in. and they would actually be under the box.

and I think if you are gonna do 4 15's you should look into the XLS or the XLT to save a little money. Unless of course money isnt an issue....and in that case make sure you get the limited.

are those compartments big? never looks down in them

i moved up form a 98 Cherokee sport to a 00 Ford Explorer XLT.

its wicked, and i love it.

i can get like 14 or so cubes in the back i do believe.

and its got a couple fun little compartments.

it is however, about .7 quieter than my old Cherokee //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
