has anybody seen a 1st gen. s10 blazer with a wall ?

i need all the info i can get on how to do this.

would do 4 - hdc3 15" not sure if i should do a flay wall or v-shape wall .

how do i figure out the size ?

is there any info out there like a site or vid's of doing this ?

any help would be nice.

definitely do a wall in that truck. if it were mine, i would do it starting at where the C-pillar would be if it were a 4door truck. then build a kick *** amp rack for the amps front or rear of the wall. if in front do one on the floor. if in the rear then mount on the rear area of the box.

thats what im leaning to . just need to figure how...............

i mean i know how to build just have no clue when it comes to figuring out how big the box needs to be,, should i do a flat wall- v- shaped wall- port on side- port in center. if i go with v-shape then the port will be in the middle right ?

i have been looking around trying to find vids. or trying to find a good site that explains it .

i just have no clue how to figure what size it needs to be. building it i can do.

anybody want to figure it out for me ? or how can i figure it out.

if i can figure that out, then ill know were im going to mount my rack ,, wiring , ect...

Every project is different and it's likely if you find someone who did one, they'd do it different if they had to do it again.

I'll say this, go as big as you can and plan for as much port area as you can. Odds are almost 100% you'll wind up with less than you thought you had after you start putting things together and it's far easier to add more wood to take away volume or port area than it is to add volume or port area. 4 15's is tight in most mid size SUV's. 6 12's is the same cone area, more coils, and gives you a lot more options for mounting all the subs and leaving you some port area.

If you can get yourself a big piece of cardboard and just cut it out to where you think your baffle would be and play around with a pencil seeing where you could put things. That's my first step

wow great idea, thakns very much.

i need to measure my space and see what i have meaning how many cube feet i have.

see wanted to do 4 15" as i already have 1 of them. and your right about the 12" but i really want 15"

ill have to find some cardboard .

i know according to sq that 1 15" likes about 5^3 gross, thats the size box i have now.

i did buy some plans for a box for 2 and its 9.00^3 net . so for 4 ill need about 18.00^3 not sure on port yet.

ok i have..

wide = 36 " ( 3ft ) thats inside wheel wells . 51" from window to window. so i would have to glass the wheel wells to form the box.

deep= 57" (4-9" ) that from tail gate to about 2" from the front seats.

high= 32" (2-8" ) that not total to headliner, but that were i can get a flat peace of wood across. and ill have about 3 " from top of box to headliner. or about 5" to roof.

i say thats a lot of room. not sure how to figure out how many cubes that is ( sq feet ) .

Just scale up. If I had my way I'd do 5 cube per 15" woofer and AT LEAST 15" port per cube. Go to Sears, Rent a Center, or another place that sells big appliances and they'll probably have a broken down refrigerator or big screen TV box that you can cut up to play around with.

Don't forget 5" thick baffle, 3" thick sides, bracing, some 2X4's, and huge port displacement. Also there'll be things you haven't considered AND be sure to leave enough room for amp(s) and batteries and amp racks and battery boxes. That space will be eaten up fast.... you should have 20 cubes, but seriously, make a template and see if you can actually fit 4 15's and leave yourself adequate port area.

My friend's explorer hit a brick wall with SPL gains due to port size limitations so we ended up taking it down and doing 6 15's to open up about 50% more port area. It was a huge difference.

i vote yes. wall = insanity bass. effectivly you will cut the cubic air space in half inside the truck. im doing 4th order wall in my burb and it will remove 1/3 of the air space inside - this is great because the smaller ( to a certan point ) the cabbin of the viechle is - the eazier it is to "exite" the air space in there.

a wall with 4 15s in your s10blazer would ( properly designed / setup / should pull the most insane hair tricks - and just feel so brutal to sit in going full tilt

What is the goal of this build: daily/demo or burps?

I did a 4 15's wall in my Altima several years ago with HDC3 subs and AQ3500 amps. Was a killer demo set up that put up solid numbers also.....search "Team DOA Altima" on youtube
