Thinking about buying some sound deadner

I wanna cover my walls and ceiling in my room with deadner. slightest noises wake me up!
I'd say ear plugs or a white noise generator would be the right tools for that task //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Great Suggestions in this thread.

(almost all of them at least)

The Damplifier Pro and SDS tiles are going to be your best bet if you are on a budget.

Raammat has a new product out and from the reports I have heard it is a decent contender. I would go with that over the BXT that he sell. Rick and I spoke a couple of times last month and he told me all about the new stuff. Sounds good, but kind of messy.

He seemed very pleased to offer it though!

Remember, that value in vibration damping in not measured in square footageo or thickness devided by the dollar spent, but rather performance/dollar. If you spend $100 on a high quality product and $100 on a very cheap product, I would be willing to put money down that the $100 worth of HIgh end stuff would give better result over the entire surface area compared to the cheaper stuff, regardless of how much more material you get.

And as Don suggested earlier, educating yourself in order to use the right materials, in the right places to perform the right tasks is the best recipe for keeping costs down. In other words, if you are worried about your bang-for-the-buck, learn what to do, where, and how much, instead of simply buying the cheapest mat you can find, slapping it over everything, and fooling yourself into thinking you made the financially smart choice.

I wanna quite my 07 stang down a little without adding a ton of weight to it. Does anyone know how much the dynamat extreme bulk pack (or mega pack) weights? And which should i buy for my car? should i just start with the 9 18x32" sheets and see how it works or order the mega packs and do it all at once?
The Dynamat Extreme 36 sq ft mega pack (9 sheets) weighs 21 lbs. I just installed it in my IROC. And yes I did weigh the box as I wanted to know the same thing. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Don't want the extra weight affecting my 1/4 mile time //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

I don't have Dynamat, but my bulk pack of deadener weighs a little over 30 lbs.
