thinkin bout redoing my system this summer

So, after seeing the videos for the "Phase Box" I reaaaaaaaaally wanna try it. I was thinking about 2 8" RL-Ps or something similar that would get loud and clean. Doing this would take stress off my electrical system, maybe allowing me to get a 2 channel and a nice front stage.

So, I would basically be selling (If this happens), a 15" SX and 2 boxes to go with it, American Bass 100.1 (Unless I could use it for the 8's, doubt it though), maybe some 0/1 wiring, maybe a circuit breaker. Do you think I would be able to pay off:

1. The box design (more than 40)

2. 2 8"s

3. new amps and frontstage

4. wiring (4 awg most likely)

and whatever else i need

Front Stage = From R's to Polk MMC6500's = 125$

Rearstage = From MMC525 to CDT M6 = 125$

4 Channel amp = From Audioghey A6004t to PG Xebob 200.4 = 225$

Subwoofer = From PG Xenon 10" to PG Titanium Elite 12" 225$

Deadening = From nothing to Raamat = 200$

Any thoughts by you sound gurus? I figured all included components are of good Brand name, and specs are good for each individual component. The question, will it sound good altogether?

As far as your Q; Just look on E-bay, grab lowest prices on your equipment, and then add that up. Now look at the sites you will buy from, get the shipping final price, and add that together. It is what I did in previous post, without typing it out.

For example: I could sell those R's for 100$ + shipping at most. Now, I can buy those MOMO's that replace the R's for roughly 200$ shipped. So overestimating costs ( a suggestion I make) I can have the Polks for a net of 125$.

So you're thinking the two 8"s in the phase box will outperform the SX or are you just wanting to minimize and think that it might/might not be worth it?

Personally, I'd probably not do this, so that's my input. Good luck with whatever you choose.

well, the sx is killing my trunk, so i was hoping i could change to the 8s and keep somewhat close of an output with the phase box
