think one of my subs is f'ed

ok today while playing my music in my car i opened the trunk to get some thing out of it and noticed that my sub was making like a scratching kinda noise . So i think the voice coil is rubbing. is there any thing i can do to fix this other then a recone cause i dont know of any one that makes recones for lighting audio subs. i thought about putting a small hole in the spider and spraying some grease in there of would that f it up for sure . i also noticed it only dose it when its in the box witch its strait up and down but laying flat it don't do it as bad

if yer coil is indeed rubbing, yer screwed cept for a recone.

and wiht lightning audio subs, its time to upgrade anyways.

i sprained some liquid wrench in the hole in the back of the magnet it helped a little but not much . And i know lighting audio aint the bet but i bought them brand new for like 80 or 90 and have had them for about 4-5 years and never had a problem with them until now so ide say i got my moneys worth out of them . i seen on on ebay for like 85 and that's bnib and for being cheep the hit hard so i might see about picking that up until i get money for better ones
