They have been closing schools around here because everyone is sick. When they close it due to snow, usually has to be more than a foot!

It's snowing it's *** off here at the moment. But they dont cancel class here, they just move it an hour or 2 forward. 9am classes are at 11am etc. Doesnt make any sense to me. never had a school day off due to weather. It's snowed here a few times, like once every 5-6 years. Snowed about 2 weeks ago, little tiny bit in the morning.

I live on the biggest hill in my city...I see some WILD stuff when it ices over. Actually seen an adult break 3 or so ribs and his wrist.

Hill's pretty dangerous when it doesn't snow...until last year one person died every year on that hill. Idiot teenagers try to 'jump' it...then they land 10 ft down and bury themselves in the trees at the foot of the hill.

here they will cancell school for if it snows a lot (10+"), or if the visability is real limited (doesnt take much snow with 40mph winds).
