Useless.
Crutchfield is a great co to order from, take every opinion with a grain of salt.
Outside of Jim's the above-quoted post is likely one of the most intelligent to be found in this thread.
Please realize that the "reviews" (and I use that term rather loosely) found for various products sold via
Crutchfield are more often than not simply opinions rather than true, unbiased reviews. I'm not bagging on
Crutchfield in the least but the nature of their business brings an extremely varied customer base. Some will be informed aftermarket audio enthusiasts while others will be completely audio-ignorant n00bx cubes.
I've seen products on there that I know for certain aren't worth the asking price and even at 50% off I'd likely not waste my money but yet there will be extremely glowing reviews from some end user or another stating definitively that said product is the Be All, End All of audio gear. The same applies to the reviews found at SoundDomain and a myriad of other online audio retailers.
Let's look right here on our fair forum here. If JimJ were to post a review of some piece of old-school home audio equipment I would likely look forward to reading what he had to say about it. If Rasheedhos were to post a review about the exact same product I would dismiss it out of hand and not even bother to open the thread as he is inarguably an idiot. (10" full-range EV drivers the "best" mids ever?!? Puh-LEEZE)
The same theory will apply to the 'reviews' found on
Crutchfield. Without knowing anything about the reviewer in question's background/level of experience with aftermarket car stereo equipment I tend not to put much stock into those opinion postings.
