there it is! you just said it. you haven't been pulled in 3 years but now its costing you 60 bucks to remove and re-tint the car to avoid the fine. thats cheap if you look at it this way.........for 3 years you've been driving around with your car tinted as dark as YOU wanted. how much do you pay for your registration sticker every year? so basically its costs you 20 bucks a year to have it tinted your way, yeah you take the chance of getting pulled again but maybe not for another couple years.

no inspections here. but anyways ya im going to take it off and put it back on in a week or two.

in Michigan no tint on the front windows is legal except the top 4 inches of the window so id rather have no tint then only the top 4 inches of the window. lol

You actually have it backwards, 35% tint isnt even enough to matter, looks like factory tint, especially on lighter vehicles.

Don't make the same mistake I did.

I took them off, went to court, judge still made me pay a $25 dollar fine, which is fine.. But court costs costed me over $150.

I could have just paid $75 for the ticket..

ya 35% is nothing. i had 20% on the front and 5% on the back. but ya i would not waste money for 35%

well here they say i just need to get it taken off and show a cop and have him sign off on it and then on the court day show them that a cop signed off on it and they will drop the fine. ill make sure to see if there are any court costs or hidden fees. and if i pay the fine its 115. i can get it re tinted for 40 dollars if i take the old off my self or 70 dollars if i want them to strip and re tint. so if i can do that and still save 45 dollars if there are no court costs......

what pisses me off is ive been pulled over for speeding and the cops did not say anything about the tint and this guy pulls a U turn from oncoming traffic to get me just for the tint.

3 cops were sitting there today pulling people over solely for tint. i just dipped into my parking spot and cruised inside so they couldn't come get me.

im not doing it now. i got 20 days till the ticket has to be paid or shown in court, so im going to take as long as i can:laugh: but if you have a good method or tips on removing tint id appreciate any help

i got pulled over and ticketed for 35% on my front 2 windows in my old car....

its a bish to take off.... took me 3 hours w/ goo gone and a razor... after a heat gun didn't work..

ive been reading online and all these write ups and then in the comments everyone saying take to a shop and have them do it lol. i'm going to see how much the shop charges to take it off. if its like 20 dollars ill have them do it while im at work.
