They are HERE!!! 08 Custom Btls Well at least 1 is..

That all depends on what happens.. I hate to sell them i REALLY REALLY dont want to as of now.. Im interested in this one.. Ive always wanted to give FI a shot in the Van and when i noticed that FI switch to the integrated Tinsel's i was sold! Now the only thing thats stopping me is the Cones... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif The motors im not to worried about but it is a lil bit of a eye sore on a Pricey Sub...

yeah i agree..try them out..

Nah im not the type of person to do that... If something like that where to happen id keep them all and maybe use them on a lower power application...Im really looking forward to the build but its now on hold till Nick gets back to me on some things.. Im really concerned about the Cones themselves.. Kinda sucks when you spend money on this stuff and it sometimes doesn't come out the way it should have.. FI has been known and still is known to make some serious Subwoofers.. I have no problem with FI personally.. Im just freakin pissed about the cones..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif...
I had a few people look at them personally and they too caught it right off the rip without even telling them.. 2 of which ran FI... Well we will see what happens here in a few days...
There's nothing wrong with the cones, you have a cosmetic defect and we are taking care of it. Keyword being, Cosmetic. Not structural.

Those same cones hold up to 179++dB, you are NOT going to break them. If you don't fold a 9515 or an Audioque cone you are not going to fold one of these. There's nothing structurally wrong with them at all. I think we know just a little bit more about woofer design than yourself in regards to your comments about how the cones are "pressed" improperly that you've made, contrary to what you may want to believe, you might want to look around, a number of the loudest cars in the world are running those same cones and same woofers with no issues and no complaints //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

There is nothing wrong with the magnets either, ferrite is known to chip that is just how it is, there is no loss of motor strength nor are there any defects as far as that goes. Thus is why most manufactures use magnet boots, if you want we can do magnet boots for them and up the price another 30 bucks for something that yields no performance increase....

If you want a showpiece you are looking at the wrong company we are a DIY direct entity, yes we pride ourself in quality and customer service. We give you what is needed to function the way it is intended and nothing more to raise cost on your end. We give the performance with out the dollar signs that come from the glitz and glamor behind woofers such as the W7, and the critical mass driver. However if your looking for something that is mind boggling aesthetically you should look elsewhere...and expect to pay upwards of 2500 dollars a woofer if not more, and see which one falls apart first.

I've yet to run into another woofer that can do what we did to it at the 12 challenge. 5kw per coil or 10kw per total isnt bad 15hz under tuning? Literally slamming the cone into the spider flange on the basket. 50 amps of current and 100 volts per coil!

Cone only breaks when you slam it into the basket //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif...your not going to have any problems, but your complaints will be taken care of.

I got a cone like tat before.

they shouldnt have out it on there, and i guess they should have B stocked it, but it wont cause you any trouble, i know that for sure.

Yeah, its definitely not going to have any effect on the strength of the cone. If you saw the abuse that these woofers go through in the van you'd understand. Mine typically have that same "grainy" rough finish to the front of the cone, so its certainly not a concern. As Nick said, it could be polished and beautiful, but the price would go up, and the performance wouldn't.

Nick, who in the world do you have belting out 179's with Fi's?? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Nick,,

You are right I guess i don't know much about the manufacturing process On the BTL cone. I just stated that it had to have happened when the cone was manufactured. I never intended for this thread to get out of hand nor upset you or anyone over at FI.. I'm just stating what i see.. Like i told you and Scott I have been looking forward to picking up a set of these ever since you changed the Tinsel leads. Etc.

Here lately it seems that this situation has became somewhat problematic for you.. Maybe i should just stop being pest about it. I apologize.. Many People will see these setup here. All i'm doing here is making sure that a situation doesn't become worse because I didn't pay attention to certain things i pay attention to. Everyone that knows me knows i try to spot a problem before it becomes one. That way I won't have to pest you because of a problem and you wont have to take time out of your busy day to Fix something that should have never been a problem to begin with. Thats all. You stated that is was not problem and I have taken your word for it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Everything has been addressed and corrected.. Didn't mean in any way to try

SALT Fi Because of "cosmetic" issues. Just stated that there might be a problem with the Cone and that it kinda looked bad. Thats all. I guess i need to stop being such a pest and just leave it alone. As i said a few posts back i never would have thought You all would do what you did.. Awesome.. And thanks..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
