Theoretically, what would happen?

Curious, what would happen if you had a typical, large slotted port enclosure but instead of the sub firing as normal, if you instead faced the sub inside the port itself?

So I guess the front wave is firing into the tuned back wave. Would it act as a badly designed bandpass?
