golfing is boring...hit a ball, chase it and do that over and over again

just like fishing it is only good for getting drunk and getting a tan

I'm sorry that this is news to you.
I'm not bashing the game of golf or anything. I'm just defining it properly.

I know you are not bashing it; but to not call it a sport discredits what these guys are able to do day in and day out when they step on any given course.

My roomate is an ex-college golfer, so he golfs a ton (and gets me free range balls, beer and wells, and rounds of golf because of the course he works at). I've got a decent pair of clubs I just use to hit around with; I don't play seriously. I mainly go to drink and have a good time.

It's like building enclosures; anyone can do it, few do it well consistently.

I would still consider golf a sport. Does it require endurance or stamina? Not necessarily. But it does take quite a bit of skill to be good at and even more skill to make a living off of, just like any other sport.
