I just started last year. I bought some knock off Irons and a nice driver to start, but if i continue with it ill get some good stuff. I would say half the reason i go is to get baked and off road the carts

I like my new irons, they feel nice and I like the fact that they have an inch added to them. KZG's.

kzg's are good stuff. We don't sell them, but we have gotten a few used sets in. They go pretty quickly.

it was either that or Adams. The KZG's were the best bang for the buck though. They were 200 bucks with no tax. The adams were like 280 plus tax but it came with three hybrids. I've never used a hybrid so that didn't really favor a decision.

hybrids FTMFW. I replaced my 5 wood with a 2 iron hybrid and never looked back. I'm actually thinking about replacing my 3 wood with a 1 iron hybrid. I hate my 3 wood.

what hybrid models do you use also?

Right now I just use some vulcan POS that i got for free.

But I've been looking at some new ones. Mainly ping G10's and cleveland hibore xls's.

if you are keeping score correctly shooting in the 90's for basically playing 1 yr is pretty d@mn good!!!!

Thanks and yea, I keep score correctly lol. Last 4 rounds I played were 99, 95, 94, and 91. The 91 could have easily been an 85 or even lower if I hadn't of blown the back nine:crap:....shot a 41 on the front.

I've been playing a high level of soccer my whole life but it doesn't even compare to golf. Golf is the hardest sport I have ever tried to play.

what exactly do they do to improve your game? The guy gave me a confusing answer. :confuesd:

What they do is give you the forgiveness of a wood with the control/accuracy of the iron. Basically the best of both worlds.

They also give you more distance/higher launch angle than a comparable iron (3 iron hybrid vs. a regular 3 iron, etc.). I think he said those were the two most common irons, I know 7 for sure not sure about a 5. The 3 iron I have hasn't even been used. Those are two very commonly used irons. I for some reason seem to hit my 6 more often than anything but Im not very long either.

Which ones you use the most really comes down to the courses you play and how far you hit certain clubs.

The 3 and 4 iron are the toughest ones to hit, which is how the whole hybrid concept started in the first place. Nowadays every manufacturer has at least one set that comes with a hybrid for the 3 and/or 4 irons. It's probably one of the biggest changes in club sets in the past 10 years.
