The What? and How?

ok im second guessing the equipment I have to see what amp im going to keep. I have a Memphis st1000.1d 1100watts at 1ohm and an Orion xtr900 .

what i need to know is which amp would give the most spl and how many ohms i should run and how to run the wiring to the amp from the speakers (2 Memphis m3 154d 4ohm dvc 15")

memphis makes great amps and since its mono and runs at 1 ohm.. will serve your purposes better.. imo

What are the advantages or disadvantages to using different ohm levels? Also,does it matter if you use a different ohm then what manufactuer specified on speakers, If I am correct all pos and neg wires should run in a chain to amp for 1 ohm? Also, how would I run wiring for 4ohms just for further reference....
