The Wall *Worklog w Pics*

More pics.! . !

here are a few shots of the front baffle, as installed on the summer project of 06

Here are a few of the braces that i used for the back, top, and port to side bracing.

had to put a bottom on them, because that make it 10x easier to install them inside of the box.

Allthread coming soon.

never got good pics of the template used to cut this, but man, it was cool. Lots of small cardboard pieces cut to fit the corners, contour of the car, and themselves.

Shot of the removed center console, and the front baffle template

that off looking hole in the port was necessary so i could get my hand in there, and trace the correct cut, from the inside.

newpics247.jpg

had to cut a good hole in for the port.

Wall with the front baffle on...... I had to trim it and cut it so many times to make it fit. the template was good, but not perfect.

I used the baskets to get a good oval though, that really, really, really came in handy.

Pretty good shot of the top left side with the front baffle attached. It isnt a PERFECT fit, but its **** close, and you cant tell with the finish on anyway, so its all to the good.

Here is a not so good shot of the right side, but it is better fitting than the left side. All is well here

The pipes used to connect everything together. Each lead has its own dual run of 14GA wire. bring it down to about 11 GA i do believe, with is fine IMO for what i am doing.

newpics259.jpg

8 runs of wire 9-10 feet in length, so i can actually work with it, without holding the sub in the air. i just roll up the wire inside the box. I felt it was good to leave as much slack as possible n this case, and it worked out quite well i'd say.

Here is a shot of the painted front baffle. Originally i was going to use a black fabric, so i painted the edges f the insides to help hide any imperfections. worked out just fine in the end.

newpics266.jpg

Here is a brace that i made. it was hard as all hell to make, but it added a ton of stability inside the box.

i still dont know what im going to do with the floor carpet.

newpics286.jpg

When i decided to cover it......i had no idea how i wanted to do it.

I just walked into walmart, and something caught my eye, The simulated leather.....it lust looked so much better than anything that they had, so i picked up a couple yards for 7 bucks or so...

newpics287.jpg

I also had to get some batting, because i couldnt have it all hard, and bad feeling........besides, i am really liking that plush look, that is soft too the touch.
