The ultimate PWK box

im skeptical of his designs myself.

i have a design of his for my truck havent built it yet...cuz the last design was pain in my A ... only way it would wang was when the sub was overexcurting. tore the spiders out. spent hours playing with it did everything he said , trouble shooted it with him and he said " i dont know whats wrong everything looks good on my end" . so we built a dd spec box , sub was an hdc3 now it wangs.. no more problems.
did he ever entertain the idea that the box was built far too large?

I have not seen him take on any kind of major ad compaign:confused: His phone number is listed on his site, why not give him a call//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
thats asking for a legal suit .. if u call in a negative manner

i had mentioned that he said thats not the problem. i talked with dj from aq he said box is too large so i told pete that he says.....

Well, everybody always tends to explain a problem in a way so that the

fault lies with someone else. The fact of the matter is that acoustic

suspension that a woofer encounters in a given enclosure isn't so much

determined by it's size, rather, by it's impedance curve and, within

it's operating frequency range, this enclosure offers excellent

acoustic

suspension. As I'm sure you've noticed, the enclosure would get plenty

loud before the woofer would begin to move a lot (and even then, it

would only do so around the bottom octave).

system was a zx1500.1 a 12 hdc3 and no it didnt get loud untill the woofer was bottoming out!

I tried to look for it, no luck yet.

And sadly enough, I know there are many other customers of his who have had problems with their boxes as well.

Simplicity is key, and apparently not a word he is familiar with.

He doesn't do any campaigning himself, he has his minions do it for him.

My main beef with him is that he overcomplicates things in an effort to make his designs seem extraordinary.

Regardless, his shit is still FAR overpriced. $60 for a design? It doesn't even cost that much to MAKE a box. Lots of people on this forum will make a design for $10 or less that will perform very well.

I really don't want to get into this argument again.

Call up DD and ask them about enclosures, they recommend Pete, as does Pierce Audio. They must know something......
DD will recommend that he build a box to THEIR specs, just like any other manufacturer.

I'm not knocking his craftsmanship, he actually makes very solid enclosures. I just don't like his designs.

Thankyou this is my point ,,, he is robbing people blind that know no better

No sense in arguing at all. If you guys have questions as to why he calls a certain design a certain name, then call and ask him to explain it...

arguing

Price does not equal output in his case it seems. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

We've already been through this before. No sense in doing it again.

This is what he called one enclosure:

"high vent mass, off-axis, bass reflex enclosure"

And guess what it was....

A ported (bass reflex) box with a large aeroport that was loading against a side wall (high vent mass) that was firing to the side (off-axis).

Marketing at its finest.

the only reason any arguement is ensuing is because you're riding pete's c0ck for all its worth...
