alright, quit bustin on stangs. stangs aren't slow, it's the people that drive them(other than myself). i've got an 88 gt, all stock except for cold air, flowmasters, and a hypertech chip. total = about 240hp. i've beaten at least 3 camaro's on Woodward(that's the big long street that the Woodward Dream Cruise is on). and jeremy, i've got respect for you and all the rest of the people on this forum(except thundertunes) but come on, a volvo standing a chance against a camaro or a stang. that's something to laugh at. any stock car that cruises at 150mph perfectly fine stands no chance against a camaro or a stang. oh, wait, this could be fun, jeremy can bring his moms volvo, and josh can bring his brother and his camaro down to woodward, and we can test and see once and for all who's faster:)

That would be fun except I don't live close to detroit. Those dyno numbers are pretty good out of a mustang. Is that rear wheel horse power or at the crank? My brothers is making between 275-280 rear wheel hp, but it might be higher due to clutch slippage. His clutch has over 70,000 miles on it and his friend kind of burnt the clutch up a little bit driving it around one day. One thing that's funny between mustangs and camaros, camaros have a strong transmission and mustangs have a weak transmission. Camaros have a weak rearend and mustangs have a strong rearend. Too bad mustangs didn't use a camaro transmission and camaros did use a have a mustang rearend. You don't run into the weak points in these cars until you do some large power increases. I must say though, if ford makes the 2005 look like its prototype that car is going to be tight. Hopefully it will have around 400 hp.

thing is about tranys and rearends is they easy to change. hell with a nicely built motor and the right rear end i could built a truck that would whip *** on any stang or camaro around. is not whats there ist what you do with what you have. and if aoll this stuff yall have been talkin about is stock cars hell who wants to race anything stock.
