They are all brand new... new casings, new everything. Painstakingly hand assembled, I've watched him do one, it takes forever. They are sick units though, I've yet to see one fail. What kind of a warranty did he give you?
There are also 180 amp versions, which sell for a bit less, with a little better warranty. $400 CAD + ship for those I think. I'm runing the 180 amp in my car right now, it's decent even at idle. And they bench beyond what they are spec for. We benched the 200 amp at over 220 in my car, and the 180 at close to 200 I believe, so about 10% over. We use really small pulleys to get a lot of current out. They sound badass too, it whines like a supercharger when I accelerate.
And we should have one to bolt right into a Bonneville, have a look on our website and see if you can match one of the alts to your car: http://www.teamshadowspl.com/ho_alts.php. The third one down might work.
