Originally posted by joshpoints Dixon has skills. Most of the teams that they play up against they have a chance of beating, but when it comes down to the end of the game they lose. Usually it's pretty close at the end and then they make a mistake. Dixon will be a good player in the NBA.
yeah he has always been great in the clutch and has the desire to win

Well speaking of the lakers....they didnt beat chi-town....you know why? cause shaq only had 13points. Kobe had 36 and fox had 23. If shaq doesnt get numbers the lakers dont win....if kobe would just relax and play ball instead of try to break all jordans records he would be alot better, focused, and get more respect. I like A.I the best myself. He takes the whole team off the dribble and draws fouls and keeps his team all involved...There are many good rookies though....what about Brendon Haywood....he could be great. Darius Miles....Eddie Curry...stoudamire from pheonix??

Originally posted by joshpoints I also think Iverson is a great player, especially for his size and he is always getting hit and playing with broken bones. He is one of my favorite players. But I have to disagree with you on Larry Hughes. Iverson would toast him in a one on one game.
Have you ever seen Larry Hughes playing 1 on 1? His crossovers make A.I. look like a 15 year old white kid;)

I must agree.

Larry Hughes would lose. A.I. has carried his team to the playoffs many times, that can not be said for Hughes. A.I. is a better shooter and when Hughes played for the Warriors everyone thought that he would make a huge difference. It turned out he was a let down. In fact, one on one I would take Gilbert Arenas over Hughes.

woooooo! lets start on the warriors...i love that team.

what eric musselman has done has been tremendous. the warriors have always had tremendous talent, but he is finally utilizing some of it.

lets hear some more about em....earl boykins, arenas, you gotta love em.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Wow, I take it you've never seen Hughes play some schoolyard ball, eh? He's the man with a million crossovers. like I said, in a one on one game, Hughes will spin A.I.'s head around. On a court with 4 teammates, it's another story...

Well how does larry hughes stand up to people like hot sauce or skip to my lou from and 1 mix tapes? Dont think he has a chance.....A.I use to play ball like that and make people look silly....he has alot of talent, but I never seen hughs play good. What about antwan jamison from the warriors?

As for rookies I didnt mean brendon haywood or the rest were rookies I was saying in general rookies these days are more of an impact then ever.....what about the european players? Dirk Norwinski? Wally Zerbiak? Steve Nash? Hedo Turgalou? those are some great players there and I would take Dirk over Hughes...he is 7ft and has a 3 point stroke, come on now. A.I would probably lose cause he cant play down low on a body like hughes. A.I vs someone like Derek Fisher from La A.I would eat him up all day.

heh, wow, you need to take some geography lessons...

Nash is Canadian and Sczerbiak is an American...

wow... waht'd you do? just pick some ethnic names and guess?

I remember watching videos when Hughes was in college, playing in street games and during practices, he has by far the best crossover I've ever seen, and so many different variations and ways to do it, it was amazing.
Some of those guys on the And 1 mixtapes are absolutely ridiculous, I'm sure there are a few that can take on any NBA player and just school them.

I really like Jamison, he puts up great numbers, 23 ppg, 7 rpg, only ~2 apg though...but he's an 80% ft shooter, 45% fg shooter and has good outside touch...

Lol, Sczerbiak grew up about 15 minutes from where I live...
The European players are getting better and better, Tony Parker, Turkoglu, Peja, Giricek(he's gonna be great)....but they still can't compete with the pure American talent..

Got a good ? for you guys, 5 years from now, who do you want on your team, Lebron James, or Yao Ming? I'd take Ming, can't find too many 7'5" guys with that kind of quickness and midrange touch...I can name plenty of 6'9" players that can dunk and pass the ball pretty good though...
