You only seemed to read the part of my reply you bolded. Politicians, Obama included, have no real desire to make substantial changes. Abortion rights? that's one of the battle grounds politicians like to play out before our eyes to pretend anything significant is going on. How about changing the system so those children are born into a world that wants them, instead of the attitude of we already have a population out-growing itself? How about restructuring the political system so they dont have virtually 100% bills passed along political lines? How about setting up a government whose desire is to create the best system possible, rather than one that appears to favor their own political party? How about changing the system so the guy with the best policies wins the election, rather than the guy with the most financial backing or the fewest *** scandals? How about a government that is honest about an energy crisis and what it costs in American lives, not just tax dollars? How about changing the government to one which wouldn't even consider being influenced by outside forces brought about by private industry, rather than one that reverses a law that will now allow for unlimited influence from them in the form of the almighty dollar? How about a government who doesn;t sway influence by using extremist arguments to scare the population into seeing things their way? Oh yes, Obama changed an abortion law right away, clearly he wants deep rooted change for our system... pardon me if I dont jump on the bandwagon.
