So....after reading the entire thread, especially the last part. Why not change out the sub that can handle the power? There are plenty around...it would be a shame not to put that amp to full usage after the upgrades you've done.

It can take it on burps...which is all I need the excess power for...and for daily it has plenty of headroom...and it hasnt had a trip-up yet. Plus there arent many subs out there that are easily had that can take the soundstream on the daily at full-bore, nor do I really want to have it at full-bore out cruising around

God I remember the ride to Chipotle I was just about to ***** out in the **** front seat I had a hard time taking a breath lol but I loved it makes me want to go louder. Oh and the glassing looked good from what I saw of it idk if you've done much on that since I stopped by for a visit but im sure it will look top notch just like everything else you do.

Mr. Pioneer, I love your build. My experience with the SS amps is that at 12 volt they are o.k., but they really come alive at 16+ volts.

They are very power hungry.

I had 4 6500s on 20 8 volt batteries which equals 10 16 volt batteries and that wasn't enough. I could have used 20 more 8 volts. Also, I used 4/0 welding cable for power wire out of the amps with no problem.

Anyhow, best of luck with your build.
