I have 3 12's. Punch stage 3's. Ive heard tons of rockford setups. They all hit real nice. Anyone got beef? Im just kinda wondering why they arent more popular around these parts. I dont really care if they arent the king of eardrum blowing bass hits, just why dont more people think power series instead of XXX or Brahma? Oh yeah if you sport the RF, go ahead and throw in your 2 cents. They seem to be the way to go, although maybe i missed a memo or someting. Check out my topics over at the Lounge. i come to this board and read alot and it i true, RF is not too popular round here but hey its different strokes for different folks, whatever u like best go wit it. I personally like how RF subs hit. doesnt mean dough its the best, there may be better but im sticking with RF till the end ( or better bass and price comes lol)

just FYI - rockford overprices their stuff a ton. this is why people go with other brands.

its not to say that the subs\amps are bad, because they arent. people can just get better sounding subs with higher powerhandeling and more output, even LARGER subs for less money.

Well, as said above...it's not popular here because many people have found they are paying for a name. Many of the brands we use, or the less known brands, have equal or better performance for less money! Also, they're just awesome products...peace

i lost a little respect for rf after they did the jensen thing throwing "900 watts" on 150 watt amps. i used to work at bb and it was a pain in the *** to try and tell people why the 301 wasnt big enough to propperly power 2 he2 or 2 pa fubr......its just rediculous.

RF was the first setup I bought 2 12" punch Z's and a 500w amp lasted a day. then I bought some HE2's and blew those up in a week. and ended up going with 2 15" Type R's and a 900w amp that is still bumpin in my bros car 4 years later

I love fosgate. My 1001bd was a tank. Very underrated. Sad that I had to sell it to get more power. You can find pretty good prices for their amps on ebay. I have no experience with their speakers, however.

Its not hard to see why people that know about the last three brand on the table above, go with the sub with nearly equal performance, but with a fair price, which = happy/smart buyers.

I agree. Rockford used to be such high quality, but now their just junk. If you want good quality stuff from certain brands (ie-RF, Orion, Lanzar, US Amps, etc.) old skool is the best way to roll.
