The right amp for the job?

Okay, my system looks like this. I have my head unit which is 4x50W rms @ 4 ohms. My front two speakers are some 250W max/100W RMS, stock tweeters (2000 Civic EX), my two 6x9s are ridiculous. They are 700W max/350 RMS @ 4 ohms. I currently have a single 12" Cadence Mallet hooked up to my Kenwood 1000W amp. Now here is the deal. I know my amp is a 2 channel 4 ohm amp that is bridgeable. I currently have my sub hooked up to the amp, bridged. I know that my sub is 600W/350W RMS. It hits retarded hard. Anyways, my questions:

1) I want to get an amp to push only my 6x9s - i am going to leave my front speakers and tweeters to my head unit. Would this amp be sufficient? http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_10230_Lanzar+MXA242.html - and if you have suggestions on a different amp let me know.

2) What kind of power strain would this put on my car. (alternator mainly) I wouldnt mind if i needed to get a high output alternator, but i would think that if i just had two capacitors, it could relieve the strain at peak power moments and suffice. I would rather do the capacitors, but once again i am open to all advice.

3) Im having trouble identifying my amp, if i provided a picture could someone help me out?

LOL @ 350rms 6x9s

please dont come on this website tryin to bs your way around thinking you are cool bc the guys on here will eat you alive. (trust me I know im one of the nice ones).

Heres some advice that i think you should follow.

Sell your little 2 channel amp on your local CL.

If you can, sell the sub too.

If you are on a budget look up Audiopipe they are cheap and have very good product. Also, look up sundown, RD Audio, and RE Audio. These are just a few of really good car audio manufacturers.

1) Ditch the 6x9s get a GOOD set of component speakers such as some phenix gold RSDs, or Hertz HKS, Infinity Reference/Kappa series something like that. And get a good 2 or 4 channel amp that will do 100-150 watts RMS X 2. Trust me you will be satisfied.

2) Unless you have a bad alt to begin with, you should be ok with 800-1000watts rms before any major upgrades are needed. To make sure that you have enough juice, get a battery that has a high AmpHour rating to go under your hood. (look up kinetik HC800 something like that). Do the Big3 to your car (serch for it on here). use the biggest possible AWG wire for your amps and use 1/0 for the big3 and make sure your grounds are in a good place.

3) Take some pics of your amp, im sure somone on here knows what it is lol

I hope all of this helps.

Edit:

Your stereo sounds horrible.
this is what i was talking about lol

Okay, to start off, the negative comments really have no place here. I was looking for help, and greatly appreciate it! Totally didn't mean to sound cocky, for on a car audio forum there are bound to have people way more enthused about this, hence having systems that put mine to shame.

Now, lately I have been learning a lot and I think I'm starting to gain a deeper understanding. My sub is a good sub, it hits very low notes, and has great reviews. Why should I get rid of it? These questions are merely to understand why //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I'm trying to achieve a super loud but crisp sound, and I'm ok with putting more money into it.

Also, wanted to know, why not get an amp that has a 700 rms total for both my 6x9s?

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif and the help is appreciated!

What kind of 6x9s are they? There's a very, very good chance that if you actually give them 700w, they'll go up in smoke in no time. If I were you, I'd invest in a good 4x100 amp. Check out the MB Quart DSC4125. It'll power your fronts and rears well.

Also, don't get capacitors. If anything, get a small backup battery, like a Kinetik HC800. The amount of charge that capacitors can hold is miniscule.

a 4x100 amp seems logical enough, and what is so wrong about my kenwood amp and sub? :p It hits pretty hard... Cadence makes quality products. Ive heard good and bad about kenwood, but i dont know.

1st if you want to keep what you got go head but capacitors are junk they do nothing but take volts dont get them and i would not run a amp 2 6x9s i think it is just dumb
