The reason why I CAN'T buy local!

Well I have been slowly acquiring the system I want to put in my other car. I want to get the premier 860 for it, so I checked locally to see who would carry it if anyone. We have only 1 car stereo only shop and a couple others like A&B, Future Shop around here. So I went to the stereo shop which I have never gone to before which has been around for years. I walked in and saw the deck on display. But before I got over to it, something jumped out at me. The $1100 price tag with a $100 savings so only $999.99!!! Now that's canadian mind you, but US works out to be about $863.xx + taxes as well. I ain't rich, and get nice equipment by waiting, getting used, or whatever. I asked how many he sells a year and he said about 3. I played with it for a bit then left. The head unit was the only thing I wanted to buy new, just incase I needed it warranted. But no way am I gonna drop that much cash on it, when I know it can be bought much cheaper. Hell I can buy 2 online and take my chances for that price. I understand local shops need to survive as well, but dam.

Exactly why I am gonna buy online, just like everything else. I doubt that they retail for $860 locally for you guys.
