i hate atreyu

I hate all of that sort of metal except Bury your dead - legend and Darkesthour - Payphones and pills. The rest is just all genric heavy riff heavy riff break down heavy riff with abunch shitty vox and sometimes emo screams. I really hate "metalcore" vox.

EVH is teh suxor! if you like **** rock then hes the best but have you ever heard COB? Alexi Laiho is the god dam greatest guitar player the world has ever seen since hendrix, and he sings while he does it too. Van Halen
Dude, COB is sooo ****ing ghey. They have a keyboard player!! haha. The singer blows, and alex is good, but thats about it. BTW van halen's pinky finger has contributed more to modern music than alexi has.

New metal is alright, atryeu is terrible. Trivium is pretty tight, as is lamb of god.

Any of you like meshuggah? The drummer is a ****ing machine.

black dahlia murder is basically just a wannabe at the gates, except alot worse.

Has anyone mentioned carcass yet? They are really good. old and new(er) stuff.

LOG is good, especially compared to the other crap thats out. I like the fact that there isn't any of that ****ing singing/moaning thats so prevelant in modern metal, these bands always go for the "we also have mellow moments too" BS. Mike akerfeldt of Opeth is a really good singer, and it fits the music really well (with the acoustic stuff). But other bands will just throw some sung crap in there.

I met the drummer of obituary once, donald something. He is in andrew w.k.'s band right now, who happens to live down the street from me. Pretty cool guy, definently not someone you'd expect to be so nice.
