I am a DJ, so I'd thought I'd put a heavy system in my Tahoe, since I know what sound is all about. Knowing me, I had to have the monster box. So I bought 2 Sony 15" Explode subs and loaded them into a duel 15" subwoofer enclosure kickin about 1000 watts total. As you can imagine, the box is as big as a single DJ P.A. speaker cab.

To make a long story short, I got the S U P E R B O O M chest slammin bass. But the problem is, I have rattles you can hear on the outside of my truck coming from inside the back door and inside of the top corner thru vents. I like the BOOM BOOM, super growl, but have to figure out how to work on the rattles. For now, you can call me "The Rattler".

The rattle also comes from the fact that you are using Sony Xplodes! Try getting some subs with better SQ and it will do wonders.

hey secondskinaudio.com has a rattle pad. (cant figure out how to turn on HTML code) You might wanna try that site they also hav sound deadener so go there if thats what your lookin for.

well just tha fact that u got 15'' xblows tells us dat u really dont know much about audio, cuz even home sony subs sucks. but anywyas....

the sub can rattle, but from what he's saying tha car rattles too. that's why he needs secondskinaudio.com, great prices n better than dynamat. i used both so i know.

Hah yeah yourself. I do know what sound is all about as far as DJing dawg, and have the equipment, jobs, name, and bank roll to match. I bought the Sony speakers because they were only $99 each and there not too many stores in the DC area that sell 15" car subwoofers at least that I know about, plus I ain't trippin on all that.

So I walked in the joint and snatched them up. As I was saying . . . the duel subwoofer bandpass enclosure WITH THE SONY XBLOWS kick, pound, rumble, and punch . . . good enough for me. There are absolutely no rattles coming from the box. As far as I am concerned I made a good choice. It is the automobile that rattles a bit.

Maybe eventually I might try to stop the rattles, but I would bet that any brand kickin mega power and subsonic frequencies like my box will shake and bake any Hoe or maybe your car to pee-sis. Having a booming ride is really not my priority now, but I needed to kick up my system a bit to test out my record companies music productions - and compare it with the top produced songs on the radio - as far as, compression, threshold, and the registering of low frequencies.

P.S. Who knows - you could be ridin around pumpin my sounds . . . .

If accurate music reproduction is what you are after, then ditch the band pass box with the $99 sonys (nice bank roll BTW....$99/ea...lol (you get what you pay for)) and get a good sub and a good box. Band pass only allows you to hear a very limited freq. range and you WILL miss out on a lot with one.

I have produced enough of my own music to know the importance of quality music reproduction.

I hate the fact that all you people get you shits and giggles off making someone who doesnt know to much about car audio look stupid. He asked to get some help not for you assholes to knock his speaker choice. If your happy with your investment like you say you are more power to you.

You can get like 36sq. ft . of xtreme dynamat of ebay for like 120 bucks anytime, that will solve your problem.
