those DBacks are playing good baseball...nice

Impressive game by Jurrjens. Detroit's young pitching is incredible. Verlander, Bonderman, Miller, Jurrjens, Zumaya, and Porcello. In 2009, they can have a rotation of Verlander, Bonderman, Miller, Jurrjens, and Porcello, with Zumaya as their closer. All of them will be 26 or under. Not too mention they still have more good pitching in the minors like Dallas Trahern.

*cough* Cubs *cough* Kerry Wood....... Mark Prior *cough*

Bonderman has been in the league 5 years now, so we know he has a strong arm, you can take 2 out of that 5 and you still have a great rotation. I worry the most about Jurrjens because he looks like a young Pedro Martinez. He has a small body and throws about 95 MPH.

Magglio, Pudge, Guillen, Sheffield. Also the Tigers, going by talent, should've never been able to draft Verlander, Maybin, Miller, or Porcello because each commanded a lot of money but Illitch was willing to pay for each of them.
still waiting for Magglio to break down, pudge calls a good game, guillen is a legitimate threat, sheffield is a cancer.

Chamberlain, Kennedy, Hughes.. best young starting trio in baseball next year, and thats coming from a Mets fan //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Please I was watching Dr. K in 85 when you were soiling your diapers.

Too bad Omar gave our pen away. I miss Bradford, they didnt want to give him 3mil per but Mota gets 2.5? I miss Oliver. They misused Bell and look what hes doing now.

On the bright side, Smith is showing signs of a strong arm again and should be back before Sept.1

oh haha I get it, true Mets fans are supposed to be Yankee haters?

Not when they have more homegrown players on their roster my friend.

Well the season is almost over so he better fall apart quick then.

Of course a New Yorker would call Sheffield a cancer, but I do recall Sheffield, Leyland, and Dombrowski winning a championship together.

Pudge's game calling is really average. His best attributes throughout his career has been his quick feet.

I cannot believe you can think any rotation would be better then Verlander, Bonderman, Miller, Jurrjens, and Porcello.

This season maybe a lost season for the Tigers, hopefully they'll regroup in the offseason and come back strong. I hope Marcus Thames gets the starting 1B job, or if they can somehow manage to sign A-rod and move Guillen to first.
