tigers have been without rogers, robertson, zumya, and rodney for an extended amount of time. i hate to say it, but that quartet is better then jake westbrook and cliff lee. also bonderman missed a couple starts, guillen missed a few games, inge missed a few games, and miner missed some time.
the tigers bullpen has been awful. bonderman and verlander have been great, rogers has been excellent since returning, miller has been good, so the tigers rotation is pretty good, its the bullpen inflating the ERA. they picked up cappellan who looks decent.

cleveland has a good offense, but detroit's is about 50 runs higher and detroit is scoring runs at a near historic pace, and detroit's run differential of over 100 runs is best in the league. had the bullpen not blown so many games, the tigers could have 60 wins.

Shoulda, woulda, coulda! The Tigers do have an awesome line-up, no question about that, but Cleveland dont really lack in that department all that much. Your pitching should be better than us with the likes of Rogers, Verlander and Bonderman, but those 3 arent going to get you to the WS again this year. Your bullpen even when healthy has stuggled quite a bit to where ours has been pretty solid with Fultz, Beatencout, Perez and Mastny. Mastny had a couple rough games, but looks good again. If our 3 big starters in Sabathia, Carmona and Lee can keep up the pace with the bullpen and the offense and we stay healthy, Cleveland can win the divison and IMO have a good enough team to win it all this year.

Mets pitching didn't look so hot today... John Maine allowed 6 earned in 2.2 innings. That's a 20.25 ERA, looks like a long day for the Mets.

On the other hand, the Braves are scorching and Mark Teixeira has homered in every game he's been a Brave. Atlanta FTW!

the cubs have been the hottest team in baseball since june 9th i believe, hopefully this year we can actually make it to the playoffs, even win the division....but it being the cubs, i highly doubt it..
