**The MLB Thread**

Yeah, Juicin Giambi... The one guy who told the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth to the grand jury. It did get him off scot free though and at least he came close to coming clean on the issue. He gets half-credit in my book for that.
it was hilarious though in game 3 of the alds. everytime he got to the plate the fans were yelling steroids. it was so loud you couldn't here anything but steroids //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif then between innings on the scoreboard they ran an anti-steroids commercial, and they all started yelling giambi //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Yeah, the cheaters deserve every bit of that.

I loved how Yankee fan was so upset, until he started hitting then it was all wine and roses again.

I think if a BB writer believes he cheated, it is that writer's obligation to NOT vote for him. Otherwise it sends a very Clintonesque message... Lie & cheat, noone will care if you can get away with it and cover it up.... or if you can hit 70 home runs.
Oh there it is, there it is. That one little phrase right there shows exactly where you stand. You're a right winger with a right winger mentality. You're basically a hypocrite. You're saying there is NO evidence against Gwynn and Ripken and that is basis enough to vote them in. Then you turn around and say there is NO evidence against McGwire but that isn't enough basis to vote him in becuause he was a POWER hitter. But because you liked Gwynn and Ripken that changes everything. Just like the right wing of the gov't. "he's a good ole boy, lets vote him in".

You have NO credible argument why McGwire SHOULDN'T get in. You're relying on heresay for your whole argument and are making yourself look like a fool. Just stop now.

Sounds alot like the current president doesn't it??

LMAO, a right winger? Hardly.... Much more of a McCain moderate. Pro-abortion, pro-gay rights, pro-seperation of church/state... Believe in honor and integrity, neither of which Clinton had. As for Bush, I never cared much for him at all. Thought his tactics were dirty in his first campaign and that he is basically too dumb and underqualified to be prez. I was with him on the tax cuts to revive the economy (which worked) but his deficit spending, cowboy foreign policy and cramming the Christian right social agenda down our mf'in throats basically have me counting the days 'till he is out of office.

Politics aside.... First, you don't even know what hearsay means "and are making yourself look like a fool". I keep saying there is evidence v. McGwire, but you choose to ignore that. There is eyewitness testimony (Jose Canseco), physical evidence (his ridiculous growth and unusual performance late in his career) and a defacto admission of guilt (congressional testimony and admitted Andro use). Strong enough for conviction in a court of law? No, but strong enough to sway my opinion when you add it all up.

Hypocrisy would be if there were similar evidence against Gwynn and Ripken and I chose to ignore it.

Well atleast Clinton had the country in the black. Bush has put us into the biggest deficit this country has ever seen so I fail to see how the tax cuts (which were only for the rich) worked. I'm worse off now because of him, our foreign relations are worse because of him. The middle class as always picks up the check when the rich get tax cuts. Its a proven fact, just look at the Reagan years. Clinton may not have been a picture of integrity when he lied but then again alot of that negative publicity was due to an over zealous republican party that was just waiting to POUNCE on anything he did to try and bury him.

Politics aside. What is a defacto admission?? I'm talking about an ACTUAL admission that would either make or break him. Instead they're going by what they THINK he did other than going by what PROOF they have. This is soooo political its disgusting. It's a popularity contest when it comes to being inducted and obviously Gwynn and Ripken were poster boys so they got the nod. On the whole Canseco issue. How can YOU or anyone else take what that jealous asshole says with any credibility. As far as I'm concerned the man has NO credibility. He's bitter and jealous and thats all I see when I look at his face.

In short, paint it any color you like but McGwire got the shaft since there was NO evidence. Everything is "he said, she said" and nothing more.

LMAO jose canseco. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/hilarious.gif.02a037aad04aa96f19982b298a3d70a8.gif where does it say on the hall of fame ballot players who used steroids may not be elected?

btw clinton having *** with another woman and not wanting to tell everybody because it's a private matter, is not the same as bush killing americans, and being totally idiotic. if you think clinton was the first president to have an affair, you are once again naive. it's well documented about kennedy's affairs, hell you can go back to thomas jefferson. ken starr wasted tons of taxpayers money just to show clinton slept with another woman.

even though my lifetime hasn't been long, he was the best president of my lifetime. best economy ever, an actual budget surplus, and no terroist attacks

Yeah but in Bush's first (stolen) term whenver something good came up it was either his doing or something his dad did. But whenever something wasn't so good it was from the president before him. Clinton did do some stupid shit that is affecting us right now like signing the lift of media restrictions which allow media domination by the likes of Rupert Murdoch. He also started Nafta. He wasn't perfect but Bush has definitely made him look REALLY good.

yea nafta's a *****, but bush in his first term lost more jobs then he created, and when clinton was in office for a short stretch, gas could be had at roughly 99 cents a gallon. all this fighting in iraq and we still don't have cheap gas //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Ahhh but we are gaining control of oil and eventually the gas prices will go down. LOL. He's already fighting with Congress on the issue of sending more troops over. He wants to send almost 20,000 more troops over to die for his made up war. I just sit here dumbfounded how someone in his position can get away with genocide.
