Just started night shift. Just got home and I heard on ESPN on the way home that the Tigers AND the Dodgers were winners again.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif Wow, 17 for their last 18 is pretty damn hot. If they keep this up the Mets better watch the fuck out. LOL;)

hahah, funny you should say...because we lost both of them for a few games, and we did just fine...thome was recently.... pretty much anybody in our lineup can hit man... we probably have one of the best powerhouse offensive teams in the AL. Thome (36) , Konerko (27),crede(25) and Dye(31) Uribe (12) ... . Iguchi (13) , Pierzynski (10) has the ability to hit HR's...he just doesnt anymore...which is fine since he's hitting like .320 or something close to that....then again we have hit the most HR's in the AL..

but your right on we have been healthy....which I can say ITS ABOUT DAM TIME!! after Frank thomas getting hurt for the last 5 years he was on the team we deserve a healthy team.

but chicago doesn't manufactor runs like they did last year. come playoff time you can't simply out slug teams. you're gonna have to get them on and drive them home without hitting homeruns

I think we've proven that we can...and what do you mean we dont manufactor runs like we did last year....we have the most R.S. in the AL I believe. We are more of an offensive team than last year for sure!...not saying thats a good or bad thing, but its more than last year.

But if you are saying we dont go on the ralleys like we did last year...which is why we had the most W's in 1 run games than anybody in baseball? yes, I would agree with that. We dont have many ralleys like we used to...but I'll take a 3 run HR over a 3 run ralley any day.

you score a lot of runs because you hit a lot of home runs. i don't see the same get on base, sacrifice, and get a base hit. it's not the same small ball as they played last year. the problem is come playoffs, you aren't gonna have as many of those 3-run homers and you have to drive in runners via the base hit.

after this reading this article i can't help but think what would've happened to the tigers franchise, if jaun gonzalez would've accecpted the 8 year, 148 million contract detroit offered.

(Second-strangest thing about the Tigers: Six years ago, they offered Juan Gonzalez a $150 million contract that would have destroyed them for the rest of the decade if he wasn't dumb enough to turn it down. It's almost like the entire franchise had a near-death experience. Anyway, they took advantage of that second life and now they're headed for 100 wins. … Meanwhile, Juan Gone is playing in the Independent League along with my buddy JackO's pal from home, and after JackO drove to Jersey to catch one of his friend's games, they stopped at a Subway for dinner afterwards, and who walked in but Juan Gonzalez? That's right, the two-time MVP Juan proceeded to sit down at a table and eat a Subway sandwich by himself. These are the things that happen when you turn down a $150 million contract. I feel like you need to know these things.)

i've been pondering something else. why is alex rodriguez playing 3rd base? A-rod is a gold glove shortstop. jeter is not. jeter is average shortstop. why not play the gold glover, and move the average guy to 3rd?

That sucks, Polanco was having a very good season too. Injuries **** ***!
infante is a quality. he's only 24 and has a lot of potential. he's not the contact hitter polanco is, but he has some power. infante can turn on a fastball as well as anybody. he also gives the team more speed and has more range at 2nd base, but maybe not as steady as polanco, but a solid defender. imo detroit won't miss a beat. they also got santiago in the minors, who is fast and great defensivly.
