**The MLB Thread**

Oh thats right I forgot everyone had perfect record against the Royals. Ooops thats right the Sox don't. They're 6-3 against the Royals. Tigers 11 - 0. Just thought you might like that stat.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif
Well why don't you go ahead and post the Tigers record against the White Sox. BTW, I know the Sox lost to the Royals the first couple games of the season.

liriano gives up a couple runs for the first time in like 11 games so he must be going down hill right? also chicago isn't perfect against the royals. his era is at 2.83 right now so i'm eager to see his era climb into the 4+
Liriano gave up 5 earned runs in 5 innings. Not just a couple runs.

i think it's 1-5 but detroit was in every game. their biggest lost was i believe by 4, the rest were a couple 4-3 losses

by the way bobby jenks gave up two earned runs so that must mean he is not a good closer now

Honestly....lol @ the cockiness of you Tiger fans, the same cockiness displayed with the Pistons and what happened to them? Anyone who knows anything about baseball knows that the chances of a rookie pitcher having continued success after he's surpassed the highest # of innings he's pitched in one season is rare. There have been a handful of rookie pitchers that have pitched great the entire season Valenzuela and Gooden come to mind. Goes without saying even a 4.25 era is pretty darn good for a rookie.

OK, Tigers are 1 - 5 against the White Sox and if they were atleast .500 against them they'd have a 7 game lead right now and that pisses me off. But like I said before they could go 16-3 against the Tigers this year and probably still lose the division. So I ask you what difference does the head to head records make if the division isn't even close at the end of the year.??

he didn't get hammered like say buerhle did today. he still gave his team a chance to win. one rocky start in what, 15 or so means he is faultering?
Faultering and not having as much success in the 2nd half are two totally different things. Stop taking shit out of context. Verlander will not pitch as good in the 2nd half, Liriano will not either. Liriano will finish with a 3+ ERA and Verlander will have a 4+ ERA. I think Rogers will end up with close to a sub 5 ERA.

not cocky. actually you are the cocky one who doesn't give the tigers respect. verlander is the 5th starter so even if he falls off they still got 4 more solid pitchers plus a good bullpen

Doesn't matter. What matters is the playoffs and we'll talk when and if our teams meet each other. If the White Sox don't get there pitching together there will be no playoffs.

The Tigers can get respect when they make the playoffs. Why should they get anything now? They are coming off a 91 loss season.

No, they have 2 solid starters. Rogers and Bonderman.
You see, this is where you are seriously full of shit. Rogers and Bonderman are good pitchers as are Verlander and Robertson. They all have their weaknesses just like any other pitcher in the league. The main thing is for them to stay on top of things so their weaknesses don't get exposed. In my opinion the only question mark in the starting rotation is the Miner/Maroth situation. Who knows what Leyland will decide to do if Miner stays effective.

same deal with chicago last year. the tigers only have the best record in baseball with a 62-29 record, so one would think you'd take them seriously. last year was last year. just like you said about the heat //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
