Because, dumbass, he is 35 and has completely fallen off a cliff. He has a vesting option in his contract that will kick in about 90 more games that guarantees another 2 years at 15 million per, so Detroit will be on the hook for a 37 year old who is severe decline. The only way to get out of it is to trade him, which no team will take on that contract. Bench him so he doesn't reach the plate appearance requirements, but his agent will file a grievance and have the players union on the Tigers ***. Try to find a way to DL him for a couple months. They could hope someone picks up the contract on waivers which wouldn't happen, so their final option is to release him and eat the rest of the contract.STFU ***! What, he dosent do well and now you want him gone? Were praising the shit out of him year after year..........when he does well.
Just goes to show you, you only ride your teams/players nutz when they do well.
Samething with the basketball thread, where you hardly posted because the Pistons sucked hard!
About the basketball thread, I haven't even been on the forums, much less visit the basketball thread //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
There is a point and time when you have to face the reality that a player is in decline. I saw it with Pudge the last couple years, and his stint in New York and the fact no one wanted him in the off season proved that. This Magglio situation reeks of 2005 with Dimitri Young. Dimitri played until his option kicked in, then announced he was injured.
