with putz and k-rod it will be hard for them not to save a game. Cubs looked good against the astros, zambrano had a solid 7 innings. The Mets saved a game. A miracle is upon us.
Dood, it was one game, lol!I was at the Orioles home Opening day game. Priceless experience to see all the foul mouthed, trash talking, arrogant Yankee fans watch in horror as their new star pitcher, who by the way is paid more then the entire Oriole roster, get hammered. Plus the boo's Tex (0-4) got for stabbing Baltimore in the back for $40million more to play with the Yankees, was epic. Never have I seen anyone get such a reaction in Baltimore. Jetter and A-Riods fill in at 3B had some serious fielding issues. And Johnny Damon got to experience a little of anti-Jeffery Maier karma. I hope all the experts keep over looking the Orioles with their gold-glove/all star infield and #1 AL East outfield and #1 pro prospect 3 weeks away from coming up and stellar starting pitching about to come up, because of the current starting pitching rotation issues. Love it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Wow, no. He was boo'ed because for years, while with the Rangers, he openly stated he wanted to be an Oriole and play in his home town. Then at the last minute he signs with the Yankees and says to the press he was always a Yankees fan. It is not so much we went to the Yankees for more money, it is that he lied and went back on a "dream" he talked about for a while. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gifIt's funny they boo a guy that they came in like 4th place, (in terms of contract offers) for not coming to play for them.
Again, no. He said those things after he signed with the Yankees. That means nothing. As I said before the fans are pissed that he never mentioned any Yankee love before, always said he wanted to come to Baltimore while playing in Texas. He also said that Don Mattingly was his favorite player as a child, and the Yankees would be his top choice to play for.
He also said that in a perfect world he would be an Oriole, he never said he was going to be one if he had the chance. In a perfect world the O's wouldn't ****, and they would have had the money to pay him, but it's not perfect. It's just funny to see all these Oriole fans cry about the guy not wanting to sign for 50 million dollars less, and play for a shitty team for basically the rest of his career. If someone offered you 50% more money to work for a better business you would turn it down right? Didn't think so.
