THE STEREOTYPE FIGHTER!!!
well, since we had a great discussion thread about it a few weeks ago, i figure that short-dude adio should start something else up about it that will last longer. this thread should include everything dealing ufc, pride fc, K1, the ultimate fighter show, king of the cage, world extreme cagefighting and other MMA events.

also, we/you should discuss different fighting styles, which ones are better here and there i.e. this is more useful in competition while this one is more useful when you're in a fight at the ( fill in name of music artist) afterparty, which ones you are/have trained in and who you know thats training in whatever.

we definitely must argue on here also about who is the better fighter and why.

lets begin:)

*Insert Kip from Napolean Dynamite voice here* "Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter."

Sorry had to do it.

this IS acceptable

i kickbox, and i can whoop all your ***** :p haha but in all seriousness, i think kickboxing is awesome. it's the base of a lot of MMA fighting styles. i think all the submission stuff is BS. it doesn't matter how strong or trained you are, if i am chocking you, you are going to give up. yeah, you can argue that you wouldn't be able to pull off the submission hold without the training, but i think it's weak. pride fighting is sweet too, a lot of action.

speaking of action, who wants to watch two dudes put each other in weird submission holds? thats what the WWE is for. everyone likes a good bang em up, head to head fist fight. thats why muai thai is better, and thats why i win //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

and if you are at a DMX afterparty, muai thai will own all. a lotta inside (elbows and knees) and outside (jabs and kicks) moves. when i was learning elbows, my instructor used a bar fight as an example. it's good stuff, and i am not talking about that aerobic kickboxing crap. muai thai all the way.

Easy to call BS when you're ignorant

I studied ShootFighting and I guarantee you cant get me in a choke or submission unless you have some really good formal training //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif and Kickboxing is a highbred sport in itself which is but a part of mma. A fully trained fighter in mma today knows Boxing, Karate(basic self defense different forms all have basic moves), Wrestling, and Submissions. Kickboxing is a highbred of boxing and karate, as shootfighting is a highbred of wrestling, boxing, karate, and submissions. Jujitsu use to be considered the shit but it really only trained for wrestling and submissions. Even punchers use wrestling to get themselves out of situations and back on their feet and need some basic submission training to avoid chokeouts, triagles, anklelocks, etc.

Well, If you think subs are useless i pity the next time you try to step to a guy that knows some good bjj. I suppose if you dont understand the ground game it could be boring to watch but I myself enjoy a good ground game as much as a good stand up fight.

you need it to win sometimes. not all fights in in KO's and unanimous decisions.......... sometimes you're skilled enough to get that tapout!!

also, muy thai is extremely good for standing up, but when you fall to the ground and you're on your back, muy thai won't do jack for you!! throw that *** in an armbar or triangle choke= submission stuff
