I would imagine you would want him gone, lol! I just don't see it happening. We shall see, but Cleveland is competiting right now and without him they won't. If he goes, then a lot of others will follow and we can take that basement spot you held for so long before a couple years ago.

Cleveland is competiting for a championship, so it's not like they are going to get rid of the best pitcher in baseball last year Next to Peavy. Because Detroit, Boston, and Cleveland are better, so when you apply simple logic and arithmetic, 4 teams and 3 playoff spots, that means New York is on the outside.

I'm not convinced by Cleveland. Detroit will be good, I'll give you that. They'll win the central hands down. Still not convinced Boston is better either. Wild card will come from the east.

Mets Finalize Deal With Johan Santana

WFAN in New York City is reporting that the New York Mets and Johan Santana have agreed to a contract extension. The details have not been released but it is believed the deal is for six years beginning in 2009 with an average annual salary of $22MM. The deal is now pending a physical.
