the loudest subs i can get

its not a budget, im working on lots of other things in my life currently and im just looking to treat my self to something so i decided to pick car audio, i have plenty of money but it can be put to better use else where, as well as my time and focus. im simply looking for answers to my questions, not suggestions which are irrelivent to what i am looking for, so if you do not have any ideas on subs that would be louder than the ones i have then please do not continue to post the same things over and over. or do, ill take free bumps regardless.

i am going to have a boss build in the future, but its not going to be now or anytime soon. all i want to do is buy some better subs. however i can increase my limit per sub by 200$ by selling my old 12s"
You see, the thing is, you honestly won't see any difference really, switching cheap subs for other cheap subs in the same pre fab box. You're spending $100 on subs to achieve the same thing you already have, which is what I'm trying to tell you. You may get better SQ switching from the kickers though.

If you want to notice a difference, take my advice.

I think what they're trying to tell you is spend the money where you should. You could take one of the PA 15's or Comp 15's and have a nice box built for it and be louder and sound better than you are now with 2. If you're going to drop 200 on 2 new cheap subs spend the money on a proper enclosure for the subs you already have.....
im just going cheap right now.... plain and simple. dont have time for amazing stuffs yet.

and i want to get the BEST of the CRAP i can find

In all honesty your better off not upgrading at this point. The ability of our current setup would not be surpassed by simply swapping a sub into the same prefab style enclosure. The amps you have are of low quality and all though I understand that is what you have to work with, you have to understand that you are on the low side of the mobile audio scale.

You want a suggestion, sell all of your subs and enclosures. Build yourself some custom enclosures from a good overall design that will be based on your applications and new subs. That would net the best overall result per dollar spent.

Other wise you are not going to hear a difference and only be wasting your funds that obviously could be used else where as you suggested.

You can still get quality items for a low price, just below $100 is too low of a price.

For $138 each

DCON-10 D4

SSA makes some great subs, and its a good price, but its over your budget.

Using your current enclosures, you still probably won't see a difference unless you increase the power you have. Best bet would be to save up some money and redo everything, amps, subs & enclosure.

do you now the air space of the prefab in the civic. If you have a saw, screws, and caulk. get some MDF and make a sealed box. Do some research and find some models that work with the power you can provide. Some subs get by with less air than others. The IDQ's need less than alot of subs. They are more of an SQ sub so while they sound great you won't be able to show off at the stop light. Look around on ebay or the forum classifieds. With $100 or better yet $200 you will find better quality.

use your $200 budget to build a $50 box and get a decent budget amp or a used one off the classified with the rest. Then you can atleast make your 2 speakers happy where they are. While the kickers are looked down on they aren't bazooka or pyramid. I recently bought a nice Clarion amp for $85 shipped off the forum. There are deals to be had you just have to look for them.

This is pretty much how I feel after reading this thread:
