The Great 15" Challenge

John just left my place, really cool guy. Knows more about car audio then I could ever wish. He had his two daughters with him and it was already getting dark so we decided to test tomorrow. I did get to look over several of his drivers though. They are built well, strong glue bonds, solid cones,soft effecient spiders. And the gap that he has on those things is incredible, everyone keeps getting bigger gaps, i doubt I could fit a grain of salt through his gap it really is ridiculous.

Cant wait to try them out tommorow and do some testing, i will have pictures and videos as well.

Also he dropped off a 18" to test as well, soon as I get a box I am very eager to see how it performs.

Yeah, these are listed as 3ohms nominal and that is why you see the 2.7ohm rating (where they can drop to). There are a number of things wrong...
