my comment about the northern lights is that in the movie the magnetic field around the earth get so distorted that the northern lights are visible very close to the equater. that is not a good thing. i am sorry for any confusion.

The magnetosphere shields the earth from charged particles in solar winds.

A geomagetic reversal means that the magnetic field will be destabilized for some amount of time.

the aurora borealis and aurora australis are caused by the patterns of the magnetosphere causing the particles to collide with atoms in the ionosphere, releasing light energy.

However if the mangetospere were to destabilize, or dissapear completely, these lights would be intense everywhere around the planet, and the amount of radiation reaching the planet would be extreme, killing most and leaving others with cancers and other such problems due to radiation.

I don't know exactly how bad the effects would be, but I know that some of this radiation gets trapped in the van allen radiation belt... and if you send an operational satellite through it, you are now minus one satellite

the mayan's predicted this would happen as well, maybe this will happen in 2012 IDK. I'm going to research it more so i can understand it better.

yeah, that is some crazy shit. They say that the sattelites are already recieving major radiation damage, i don't know how far out they are, but they can't be that far. I believe they are around 20,000 miles in the sky or so for the highest altitude ones.

LoL. You guys need to read. 2012 has something to do with time.

You see, in this life you have one conscious focusment. It has to do with a linear system of time where you "believe" and are convinced that all that you can perceive is the present happening. In 2012, our consciousness changes and expands to allow us to visually see the past present and future. There will be no more linear perception of time. That is really why the Mayan calendar ends. It ends because the linear perception of time ends on that date.

It doesn't have to do with the "end of days" or the "end of time" and us all dying. It has to do with the expansion of our time perception.

That is why all calendars are linear. They are linear because we try to explain everything objectively.

Everything you know right now is about to change because your consciousness is going to evolve.

It's not really going to evolve, but expand. The word evolution is a derived from the idea that time exists. If you take away these limited assumptions of what you learn about time from the society and the school system. It can make sense. You first have to convince yourself that time does not exist. Because it doesn't. You only believe it exists and is moving forward because of what you picked up from interaction with other members of the reality. You all agree it exists, so therefore, it only seems logical to assume it does

You then accept it as having more power over you and believe you are subject to it. Truth is, it is still a by product of our consciousness. We are not subject to time. Time is not an external force. We ourselves are in control of time and the flow of time.

All 2012 has to do with anything is perception expansion. I would not say evolution because then, I myself would have to accept time as a stronger, more powerful force than I myself.

I know about time expansion because I can do it. I learned about it. I learned how to practice it. And now I can control it. Everyone reading this message can do the same. If you decide to discard the limiting belief.

You first have to become a student of such studies and then realize you are the master of your reality. You are not a victim walking the linear-line from birth to death, you are not subject to time and space unless you believe you are.

It all draws down to what you believe. If you change your belief system around, examine your beliefs, and try to spot where the belief originates, you yourself can then sit down and decide whether that belief is suited to your best interest or not. Most people running around in the society victimize their selves because of poorly assembled belief systems. They don't realize the leverage of a belief so they unconsciously use their beliefs against them. Where as somebody who is in tune and understands uses their beliefs in their favor.
