Section 8 states nothing of an Income tax. Just taxes and I'm **** sure that income was not included in their ideas of things to tax. But I will now read the ****ing amendment I asked for in the first place.

My point here is if it isn't working do somthing different. We have progressed to this point, we need to head in a different direction, I do think that this form of gov is the by far the best to date (throughout history) I do not however think it is perfect. We are obviously doing some things wrong, and we need to do something different

You have things backward. Our system of government is not mean to work for out best interest. Its to ensure certain rights that allow us as individuals to work toward realizing our own best interests.
On the other hand, socialism/communism is a system of governance that tries to 'look out for' citizens best interests with state ownership and control of everything.

We look out for ourselves, communists expect the government to do all the looking out.

when i say look out for our best interests, i mean in the world setting. we were talking about being a super power. the government controls enough of our lives to be somewhere in the middle of being a republic and communist. it's how alot of people want it.

Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes.

It doesn't say what type of taxes. It says taxes. No exclusion of income tax. Taxes. They can tax you on what they feel like taxing you on. Shit you voted for some of them so you are being "represented". Don't complain to me complain to your senators and reps.

No legislative act, therefore, contrary to the Constitution, can be valid. To deny this, would be to affirm, that the deputy is greater than his principal; that the servant is above his master; that the representatives of the people are superior to the people themselves; that men acting by virtue of powers, may do not only what their powers do not authorize, but what they forbid.

Congress gets all its powers from the people, who expressed those powers as well as limits on those powers in the form of a written constitution. Therefore, any power forbidden to Congress by the constitution is a power Congress does not have. If Congress passes a law interfering with free speech or with the free exercise of religion, this legislative act is not valid and cannot be enforced in court.

What is your point? You are obviously a very intellegent person, do you truly think that all is well. I am not here to get into a persona debate with you, if you would like to try to take some of the thoughts that are expressed and bring forward some answers, or some info to provoke thought great. I am a common man, that can see that there are some major problems within our govermental system, you can beat the hell out of me all you want, I still feel as though there is a major issue with appointed judges that have live tenure can overturn the will of the people. The fact that they are appointed is one of my major issues.
