The DTV switch just took place

Shouldnt this theoretically improve the quality of cable programming too?
Since the signal is digital, it wont be susceptible to noise like analog.
Digital signals are weaker and don't reach as far, but if you are within range, the picture quality will be better than analog/non HD cable.

ya i was wondering if all channles would be normal widescreen instead of having to stretch it on your widescreen tv..

my converter box has a setting so you can switch between the two. idk if that will make it work right on your tv or not.

I've noticed some shows are widescreen and when I switch the box to widescreen, I can see the whole picture.

A good antenna will help alot. I have rabbit ears right now and can get just enough signal for it to work. If I move the antenna at all I lose the signal. It sucks cause once it reaches the signal cutoff point, theres nothing, unlike analog where it would just get fuzzy.
