I waited to post until I got them hooked up and tested. I purchased a complete, fully functional 3-way component set for 375.00. Here is the best part. They are Focal Utopia Be No. 7s!!!

I found it on craigslist minutes after its post. It had $1 next to it. I literally overlooked the thread a dozen times, "knowing" they would want thousands for the set. I finally gave in and read it. Cash was sent immediately.

Okay, that was my little rant of happiness. Now I am trading all I have to get the Audiocontrols and amps to push these beauties properly with the cleanest power.

It feels like Christmas morning every morning when I see them.........sitting on the floor next to my desk.................not far from where I spend most of my time.

not 100% sure, as I personally have never dealt with the issue. look at the packaging really well, look for any and I mean any mis-spellings, search the internet for pictures of the packaging inside the box of real ones and see if yours are the same. look at the acutal products and inspect them really closely for quality control flaws, like excess or uneven glue at joints, cross over components printing on the board...

Except for the gluing being bad it looks like it would be extremely difficult to tell. It may become obvious once you hook them up though. Did you really only pay a dollar for them? I'd say fake based on that, unless you are also letting them deposit 3.5 million dollars from the Nigerian lottery into your bank account....

I paid 375.00 plus 44.00 shipping. According to links online for focal and Dyn "knockoffs" they are pretty legit. I am still searching. Mids however are very warm. Goosebumps of rich sound. Only running them of an imprinted alpine 117, hoping for awesome image with processors and eqs.

Oh I see I missed the price in the first post. I don't know man, crutchfield has them listed for 5,499.00. I know CF is overpriced but by 5,125.00? If they're legit you got the deal of a lifetime my friend. Flip them and make a couple house payments. BTW how do the glue seams look, can you post pics?

well if you love the sound who cares if they are real or not, at that point it is only a name, and name don't make good sound, good speakers do, no matter what is printed on them.

That is what I would tell myself in this situation, as the alternative would keep me up all night!

Yes, the action is gonna be real, cause any knock off company can make the same sound as the Focals, except for 50 cents a component set and sell them for 100. That's why the cheapest Boss speakers are the same sound as the Focals...

No, if they're not the Focals they won't sound like they're Focals, plain and simple.
