The D2-W7 Comparison

Honestly I'd consider the Mag D2 and the ID Max to be roughly comparable. Both are excellent drivers, and honestly, I'd still consider both a notche below the W7, though they're certainly a FAR better bargain.

Also, small boxes are another option with the D2, which is something that can't really be said for the W7. It loves big ol' boxes, but that's hardly a surprise since you have a moderately high Qts and a high Vas as well.

'Glad to hear that you like the driver so much. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif As bass maniak stated, I'm on vacation right now. After an 8 hour drive back tomorrow (Sunday), things will get rolling again.

Couple things..

Has anyone used a Digital Designs 9500 series subwoofer before? Just like to get an idea on how it sounds... It will be 3.33cu ported to 28hz.

Qts, Vas, what do those things mean? You stated that they were high, and that corelated to a high volume box, but why? Any insight would be delightful. You don't have to put it in the thread, you can pm me instead.

Thanks. Oh, and I didn't mean to hijack your thread //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Nothing impressive about the 9500 musically.

Any of the aforementioned will do accurate reproduction in a smaller airspace than what you have right now.

Where in MN are you? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You're the man Nick. But you're never online. Wussy.

sweet this makes me want a d2 right now but i have to wait till monday to order one because nick @stereo integrity is with his family for thanksgiving.its gonna be in a 4.5 cubic foot box tuned 2 32hz and then when i have the cash im going to put another one in the same box.

i cant wait!!!!!
too big of a box, will gain nothing and possibly lose cone control is what i hear after 4+cuft for 1 D2??

adam

Ehh......efficiency will increase.....somewhat increased low-end output........not really worth the box size after all's said and done.

I'd do 2-2.5cubes tuned to 30hz.
