The Big 2?

Ok cool. The main thing the fuse is for is to stop overload of current to the batt right, to protect it from exploading? So 150 amp fuse will stop excess? Im confused on how it works a little bit

Unless you removed the voltage regulator from the alt your not going to overcharge your battery, therefore it's not going to explode. The voltage regulator will send the correct amount of current to the battery as it's needed.

Ok. Well I guess ill do that then. Just want my car protected. Anyone sell a mini anl fuse holder that accepts 0 guage? My regular one from knu is huge for that little space

He has a 130 amp alternator and only needs 75 amps for his audio. 150 amp fuse is fine.
although he only needs 75 amps for the amp, if he's going to fuse the alt wire then he needs to think about everything else that the alt is going to cover too, like the A/C, radio, headlights, wipers etc. Each of those add to the total amp draw from the battery, in turn drawing more from the alt. So the amp might only draw 75 amps, but with all the other items that need power too the draw can easily reach 150 amps.

on a side note, your amp is most likely putting out 750 watts, not the power you stated. Amps normally have a draw of 10 amps per 100 watts. ie, a 1000 watt amp would need a 100 amp fuse and a 750 watt amp would need a 75 amp fuse.

Ok. Well my amp has 3 x 25 fuses. So thats why I said 75 amps. Can my car draw more than 150 amps if my alt is only 130? Should the 150 amp fuse ever blow?

If you total all the fuse ratings of things like your wipers, lights, A/C and everything else in the fuse boxes that should give you a good idea what kind of current draw your giving the battery and alt. Your amp is only seeing a 75 amp draw when the amp is at full power, meaning at full volume and at the 14.4 volts it was rated at. I doubt the fuse will blow. They don't pop the second the fuse get's 150 amps, they have to heat up before they pop.
