The best way to use my 16 cubes @ 30-32 hz?

I am building a box in my 04 ford explorer that will be 16 ft net or so. I have about 1-1.5k watts on tap. I am mainly looking for nice low bass response, and I have about $500 I am willing to spend, new or used.

I feel like I shouldn't get powerbass 3xl's, but they look interesting: 150 each (OBO)

Save up a lil more and get 2 DC lvl 4's. Be well worth it, and room to grow in amps later.

well, I was thinking that. I bought 2 lvl 4's from ebay for 500 total, but they are broken with severe coil rub on both. But I thought lvl 4s did bad with less power because they have a stiffer suspension?

XL's are the stiffer ones, the 4's will do fine with 750 each.

I think I'm gonna go with fi ssd 18's for 513.40 shipped. Anyone got a better suggestion?

3xl's are better than you might think. I'd try them out. A guy with 4 12's on 3000rms hit a high mid to high 140 at the oregon meca comp with a crappy box.

AT that price its a no brainer IMO
