kicker cvr 12's

haS anyone ever heard a pair of cvr's sound good AND hit the lows?????? thinking of replacing my 1 aq 10 with 2 cvr 12's. the aq 10 sounds awesome, but i want more. My amp is 1 ohm stable so i could run 2 aq 10's/ but for 149 for a 10 or 160 for 2 cvr 12's i may be better off. has anyone any personal experience with these subs sounding good and hitting the lows???

IMO cvrs are the best bang for the buck sub there is. I won't say they sound good but they sound better than the AQs.

Ive had both. Kicker is farrrrr from sounding better than AQs. If it was me I would get another AQ 10. Screw CVRs every little girl has them.

ya i got a little planet audio bigbang 650.1 thats pushin my 1 aq 10 incredibly smooth. may just order another aq 10 and run 1 ohm 600 watts to 2 aq sdc 2.5 10's. slightly underpowered bu may beable to make it up with bigger box and port area. had planned on 3 cubes plus port displacement l, 40 hz, 54 in of port area. could be nice on 600 rms.

if you're wanting to hit lows you need to tune lower... about 30-32 area

Which AudioQue 10" sub do you have? I'm assuming the SDC?

I dont know much about the amp, but seems a little small for 2 12's

Maybe a single 12" or 15" might work better.

CVRs actually get loud for what they are, but they do not sound great, and all the loud ones I have heard have been tuned on the higher end of the 30s...Im not sure how well they do tuned low...I would prefer the AQs, even being 10s, over the CVrs

single 15"?? almost the cone area of 2x 12's(well 83% of it)

I am assuming you have the sdc. I would say the sq on the cvr is about the same as the sdc. I have owned many different variations of the cvr and 2 12 inch sdc's. This is kind of a tough call to be honest. I'd rather you do a single decent 15 such as a sdc 15 or a level 3 15.

Cvr's sound real good, and all you need to do is build the largest recommended Kicker box. I've owned both. I'm running Sdc 15's right now. There is no need to tune lower. The box that Kicker recommends is tuned to around 35hz. You need more power and maybe 2 Cvx's to get the type of bass you desire.

yup maybe 2 cvx;s * 10"S FOR THE MONEY 2 cvr thwelves are cheap 170 for 2, vx 15 170 for a d2 cheapest i found the cvx 10s was 120 shipped each. cvr 170 shipped for 2. would love to take the challenge to make a box for cvrs to hit clean and low..if possible
